Valmet’s Workshop in Sorocaba has an excellent opportunity for you! **Your main tasks and responsibilities include:** * Prepare parts for painting by cleaning surfaces using a high-pressure washer in the washing area, aiming to remove dust, oil residues, and grease. * Prepare paints for painting, observing and following mixing specifications and verifying required quantities of each component using a graduated ruler to ensure uniformity in painting. * Paint parts based on technical specifications and standards contained in drawings or explanatory notes, using spray guns or paint pumps to meet departmental production schedules. * Verify the thickness of the applied paint layer on parts using film thickness gauges to comply with specifications outlined in plans. * Monitor relative humidity using an appropriate instrument (hygrometer) and control suitable temperature conditions for painting. * Observe curing times for each type of applied material and the expiration dates of paints; request supervisor inspection whenever products show any irregularities. * Clean water and oil traps in the compressed air network of the painting area and clean filters of air purifiers used for supplied-air respirators. * Maintain equipment, tools, measuring instruments, and service quality, promoting organization, cleanliness, and maintenance of the workplace to optimize service quality. * Comply with company-established safety, hygiene, disciplinary, and other applicable regulations, adhering to established rules and instructions from immediate supervisors, resolving any doubts regarding them to ensure compliance with current regulations and serve as a role model for colleagues in the same area. * Understand Valmet’s mission, values, policies, and objectives, complying with pre-established internal norms, instructions, and procedures as guarantees of quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive medicine—contributing to employee development, process optimization and digitalization, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers. * Be familiar with procedures, instructions, and standards of the Quality Management System and apply them daily to ensure both corporate and service quality. * Perform other related and inherent professional activities as directed and requested by the immediate supervisor. **To succeed in this position, it is important to have:** * Completed high school education. * Solid experience in industrial painting. * Technical training is desirable. **What we offer** We offer a dynamic work environment that values innovation and suits individuals with a development mindset who enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
