Crucial function in guaranteeing air renewal and temperature control Job Description: Evaporative Air Conditioning and Exhaust Technician Responsible for installing and maintaining evaporative air conditioning systems and industrial exhaust/ventilation networks. The focus is on ensuring air renewal, temperature control via water spray, and removal of residues or heat from production environments. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. For Evaporative Coolers:** * **Hydraulic Maintenance:** Cleaning and unclogging honeycombs (evaporative panels), adjusting float valves, water pumps, and drainage systems. * **Ventilation Mechanics:** Aligning pulleys, tensioning belts, and replacing motor and fan bearings. * **Water Treatment:** Inspecting filters and sanitizing reservoirs to prevent odors and fungal growth. **2\. For Exhaust Systems:** * **Duct Assembly:** Assisting in the installation of galvanized or flexible ducts and mounting aerial supports. * **Exhaust Fans and Hoods:** Performing technical cleaning of blades, dampers, and metal filters (especially in grease- or industrial-dust-prone areas). * **Motors:** Verifying rotation direction, cleaning casings, and conducting vibration tests. **Technical Requirements (Hard Skills)** * **Power Transmission Knowledge:** Ability to align pulleys and adjust belts (critical for system quietness and efficiency). * **Basic Hydraulics:** Familiarity with PVC fittings and hoses for cooler water supply. * **Tool Proficiency:** Mastery of hand tools, drills, jackhammers, and safe use of ladders and scaffolding. * **Support Electrical Knowledge:** Ability to wire single-phase and three-phase motors and simple frequency inverters. **Operational Profile** * **Working at Heights:** Comfortable and trained to work on rooftops and platforms (NR\-35\). * **Resilience:** Ability to work in hot environments (e.g., industrial warehouses and workshops) where systems are installed. * **Document Attention:** Accurate completion of preventive maintenance inspection reports for client history records. **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior experience assembling sheet metal or industrial bodywork. * Knowledge of cellulose panel (honeycomb) replacement. * Familiarity with NR\-12 (machine and equipment safety). **Role Summary** Unlike a "split" air conditioning technician, this professional is an **airflow specialist**. He ensures water reaches the honeycomb, the fan rotates without vibration, and the exhaust fan efficiently removes contaminated air. This position is fundamental for thermal comfort in large open areas.
