**JOB SUMMARY**
Ensure the development, updating, and governance of the Life of Mine (LOM), contributing to the strategic and long-term operational planning. Serve as the technical reference for integration among geology, geotechnics, operations, and other technical disciplines, ensuring mining plans reflect technical, economic, and operational consistency. Support senior leadership through technical analyses, scenarios, and reports that inform strategic project decisions, aligned with the principles of the Aura 360 culture.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
### **Strategic and Long-Term Planning**
* Develop, review, and govern the **Life of Mine (LOM)**, ensuring its alignment with technical, economic, and operational assumptions.
* Prepare the mine’s **long-term plan**, ensuring integration with the operation’s master plan.
* Build and update **mining sequencing schedules**, considering geological, geotechnical, operational, and economic assumptions.
### **Technical Modeling and Studies**
* Conduct **pit or panel optimization studies**, using industry-standard techniques and software.
* Perform **scenario analyses**, comparing operational and economic alternatives.
* Prepare models and assumptions to support the **Annual Information Form (AIF)** and **Technical Reports**.
### **Technical Governance**
* Ensure consistency and up-to-date status of technical assumptions applied to mining plans.
* Ensure the LOM aligns with corporate guidelines, geological parameters, and geotechnical constraints.
* Participate in the development and review of the operation’s **Master Plans**.
### **Leadership Support and Decision-Making**
* Produce technical analyses and reports to support strategic decisions by senior management.
* Organize presentations, scenarios, and comparative studies of alternative mining options.
**Technical Competencies:**
* Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering,
* Active CREA registration;
* Advanced knowledge of Deswik CAD, Deswik IS, Deswik Sched, Deswik DO, Deswik Blend, Deswik LHS, and Deswik GO software—applied to mining plan development—is desirable;
* Knowledge and experience in mining sequencing, with exposure to open-pit mining operations; proven experience in developing and updating Life of Mine (LOM); and
* Technical Reporting; strong analytical capability, with skills to assess scenarios, risks, and technical and economic impacts.
