Pilot Seamstress

Job Summary: Responsible for assembling complete pilot pieces, performing adjustments, and defining sewing operational sequences for men's and women's garments. Key Highlights: 1. Assembling pilot pieces according to patterns and instructions from the patternmaker 2. Defining the optimal production method and sewing techniques 3. Working with a variety of fabrics: woven, knitted, and leather **Responsibilities:** Assemble complete pilot pieces as specified in the pattern and based on information provided by the patternmaker, for both men's and women's garments, either as individual pieces or within a production cell; Perform various repairs or adjustments on garments; Define the optimal production method for each garment, specifying the operational sequence and suggesting appropriate sewing techniques; Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the workstation, including machines (oil level, presser foot cleaning, unusual noises, etc.), tools (scissors, needles, seam ripper, etc.), and accessories (pins, measuring tape, tailor's chalk, etc). **Required Qualifications:** Knowledge of sewing techniques; Ability to interpret patterns to assemble pilot pieces; Experience assembling women's clothing; Familiarity with industrial straight-stitch machines (single- and double-needle), overlock machines, arm-type machines, double-needle topstitching machines, and collar-sewing machines; Ability to work with a variety of fabrics, including woven, knitted, and leather; Availability to work occasional Saturdays. **Education:** Completed elementary school **Work Schedule:** Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:03 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:48 PM (On-site – Rio Comprido/RJ).
