**SUMMARY DESCRIPTION** * Plan, execute, and enforce maintenance routines (preventive and corrective) for the entire fleet. * Act to minimize roadside assistance interventions and immediately resolve those that occur. * Ensure maximum possible fleet availability for operations. **FUNCTION PURPOSE** * Safeguard and ensure the safeguarding of company assets, guaranteeing that work tools are available and in optimal operating condition, thereby ensuring safety for personnel, cargo, and assets involved in transportation operations. * Ensure compliance with and/or development of safety and maintenance procedures that guarantee efficient execution of company activities, aiming to reduce expenses per vehicle kilometer traveled. **TASKS** * Train new drivers and conduct refresher training for existing drivers as needed, focusing on compliance with procedures such as maximum permitted speed, fueling procedures, daily checklist procedures, vehicle handover/receipt procedures at supplier locations, defensive driving procedures, and driving procedures aimed at fuel/tire/suspension economy. * Monitor vehicle usage checklists. * Ensure creation of service orders to address items reported by drivers. * Collaborate with operations to develop maintenance plans for vehicles requiring immediate intervention. * Create and enforce (via system-generated service orders) scheduled preventive maintenance based on vehicle kilometers traveled and/or equipment usage time. * Ensure proper functioning and perform maintenance of risk management-related equipment. * Manage fleet fueling (via proprietary system), monitoring and acting upon items including, but not limited to: average cost per liter, tracking of expected averages, real-time restrictions on non-parameterized fueling, average unit price at fuel stations, concentration of authorized fuel stations, and ensuring maintenance practices that improve vehicle fuel efficiency—among others contributing to reduced cost per vehicle kilometer traveled. * Develop and conduct negotiations regarding procurement and invoicing with suppliers and service providers to carry out required maintenance. Submit quotations (minimum of three, especially for items exceeding R$500.00 each). * Collaborate with suppliers to ensure proper scheduling of services, guaranteeing timely vehicle return with high-quality service delivery. * Respond to “roadside assistance” incidents, providing remote support to drivers whenever possible and on-site support when necessary. * Ensure a process for monitoring and managing the use of durable resources such as warehouse parts, tires, batteries, and similar items—aiming, as expected, to reduce cost per vehicle kilometer traveled, minimize resource waste, and prevent premature failures or losses. * Ensure financial liabilities for damages, losses, fines, or any other financial losses incurred by the company due to employee actions are correctly assigned to responsible parties.
