The pizzaiolo position includes preparing and cooking pizzas—from dough and filling preparation to assembly and finalization. The professional is also responsible for ensuring pizza quality, flavor, and presentation, as well as maintaining workplace organization, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Responsibilities and Activities
Ingredient Preparation: Prepare dough, sauces, fillings, and other pizza ingredients according to recipes or customized orders.
Pizza Assembly: Assemble pizzas by evenly distributing ingredients in accordance with the menu.
Cooking: Bake pizzas in the oven, controlling temperature and time to ensure perfect cooking.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality and flavor of all products, as well as visually appealing presentation for customers.
Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workplace, strictly adhering to food safety, health, and occupational safety regulations.
Inventory Management: Monitor ingredient stock levels and verify product expiration dates.
Creativity: Develop new flavors and ingredient combinations, exercising creativity in designing original recipes.
Customer Service: Prepare pizzas according to customer requests—including vegetarian, vegan, thin-crust, or thick-crust options—as needed.
