Job Description
GRUPO GERA — an economic group focused on renewable energy, efficient and sustainable solutions — is seeking a qualified professional to join its team as a Commissioning Technician, working at power generation plants with emphasis on quality, safety, and technical compliance.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Conduct technical site visits to under-construction power plants for preliminary structural verification, identifying potential issues that may hinder or impact the commissioning process;
* Perform tests and inspections on electrical systems, ensuring compliance with as-built drawings, technical standards, and contractual requirements;
* Carry out commissioning of electrical equipment, including switchboards, transformers, inverters, protection systems, and other components of the electrical system;
* Diagnose technical faults and propose corrective solutions in collaboration with relevant teams;
* Prepare detailed technical reports on performed activities, executed tests, and obtained results;
* Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards throughout all operations;
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance) to resolve technical issues and optimize processes.
**REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:**
* Completed Technical Course in Electrotechnology;
* Knowledge of electrical systems and power equipment;
* Experience or exposure to testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems (experience in solar power plants preferred);
* Analytical, proactive profile with strong problem-solving orientation;
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams;
* Willingness to travel.
