**Desirable (Plus for the candidate, not mandatory for hiring):** Pharmacy Technician
Perform pharmacy routine tasks to ensure high-quality support to nursing staff, aiming to improve patient treatment through safe medication dispensing. Must be available to serve all pharmacies within the Institution, as determined by management. Read, sign, and record information in the shift handover logbook; Record ambient temperature, refrigerator temperature, and humidity levels; Count and reconcile pharmaceutical and medical-hospital supplies inventory; Restock pharmaceutical and medical-hospital supply bins; Prepare medication and medical-hospital supply replenishment requests for the warehouse and CAF, and verify delivery upon receipt; Sort medications for pharmacies according to replenishment requests; Record medications pending fractioning; Medication service delays for pharmacies must be communicated to supervision/coordination via e\-mail and, if low consumption is verified, reallocated from other pharmacies; Prepare office supply requisitions for the warehouse; Record transfer errors and times of receipt for warehouse and CAF orders; Report to Pharmacy Supervision; Clean shelves, bins, and refrigerators; Serve window pharmacy requests, correctly dispensing and billing prescribed medications; Collect prescriptions released by 14:00 hours from inpatient units; Register received prescriptions; Sort medications and medical-hospital supplies into trays per medical prescription to serve patients over the next 24 hours; Enter medications and medical-hospital supplies required for the next 24 hours into the GestHos system, referencing prescription numbers; Assemble medication and medical-hospital supply strips to serve patients over the next 24 hours; Seal medication strips, separating night and day doses into separate boxes per inpatient unit; Process returns in the Gesthos system; Complete the medication dispensing error form if applicable; Record any risk occurrence in the risk management spreadsheet; Bill ward sheets; Verify expiration dates and batch numbers of medications and medical-hospital supplies in satellite pharmacies and emergency carts; Separate expired medications and medical-hospital supplies on the last day of each month; File prescriptions, requisitions, and inter-stock transfers in Box containers; Shred prescriptions and separate requisitions for draft use until the 10th of each month; Inspect seals on stop-and-replenish carts and restock them together with nursing staff; Replace sharps waste collectors; Attend training sessions; Inspect and restock kits for CT Scan, Hemodynamics, Hemodialysis, Endoscopy, Speech Therapy, Ambulance, Clopidogrel kit, and other ICU and Surgical Block kits; Inspect and restock Pharmacy Kits; Dispense calcium carbonate to hemodialysis patients; Send materials for sterilization to the Central Sterile Supply Department (CME); Request special materials through OPME; Report to Pharmacy Supervision any process inconsistent with the process map or any incident occurred; Count items for quarterly and annual cart, kit, and pharmacy inventories; Record opening date of multi-dose vials every time they are opened; Generate medication consumption spreadsheet and sort for fractioning; Fraction medications and store them in labeled bins; Receive and verify medication deliveries from the warehouse against the invoice; Serve hemodialysis and oncology medication requests at CAF; Notify supplier of technical complaints regarding medications; Inform Pharmacy Supervision of any discrepancies found in medical prescriptions; Complete incident report forms and forward to Pharmacy Supervision; Read and respond to e\-mails; Request loans from other institutions when necessary; Reallocate high-turnover, low-stock medications between units; Handle high-volume requests for satellite pharmacies and between units; Deliver acidic and basic solutions to hemodialysis nursing staff; Cover coffee breaks, lunch breaks, or staff absences in other pharmacies; Clock in and out accurately at scheduled contract working hours; Attend monthly meetings with supervisors and quarterly meetings with coordination; Observe safety regulations, environmental control standards, and other internal policies and/or legislation relevant to assigned duties; Participate in and suggest improvements to quality tools, verification processes, POP applicability, Risk Management, and Process Mapping. Perform other similar tasks as determined by management.
