




Job Summary: The Tracking Operator monitors and controls vehicles, cargo, and assets to ensure security, operational efficiency, and rapid response to incidents. Key Highlights: 1. The **tracking operator**’s primary function is to **monitor, track, and control the location and status of vehicles, cargo, people, or assets** using tracking systems (typically via GPS and specialized software). In essence, the tracking operator **ensures security, operational efficiency, and rapid incident response**, helping the company make faster and more accurate decisions. **Main Responsibilities:** · Monitoring vehicles without SM; · Generating reports and checklists; · Creating SM for another company responsible for managing shippers’ risks; · Analyzing routes to facilitate vehicle movement; · Reviewing documents (PGR); · Using systems such as Sascar (tracker for large vehicles), Valtec (internal vehicle cameras), Giga (for monitoring base cameras), and Servis Log (for SM creation by Via Varejo’s responsible company). · Conducting onboarding of new employees (drivers) regarding tracking department processes. **Requirements:** · Completed high school education (tracking-related courses are desirable). · Prior experience in this role: 1–2 years. · Punctual and committed to scheduled working hours. **Behavioral Competencies:** * **Attention and concentration** – Monitoring multiple information streams simultaneously without missing details. * **Responsibility and ethics** – Handling sensitive data and security-related situations. * **Emotional control** – Maintaining composure in risk or emergency situations. · **Rapid decision-making** – Acting swiftly upon alerts and incidents. · **Clear and concise communication** – Conveying information accurately to drivers, teams, and managers. · **Teamwork** – Collaborating effectively with other operators and company departments. · **Proactivity** – Anticipating problems and acting before they become critical. · **Organization** – Recording incidents and keeping information up to date. · **Flexibility** – Adapting to shift changes, system updates, and procedural adjustments.
