Additional Job Description We seek a senior professional with solid mainframe experience, capable of performing both technical development and leadership/homologation duties, with strong involvement in client/business analysis and participation in project assessments to identify scope, risks, technical solutions, and architecture design. This person will serve as the key contact for the development team and stakeholders — ensuring quality, governance, value delivery, and mentoring junior/mid-level profiles. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead and participate in project discovery/assessment sessions with clients to gather requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and define system architecture; * Provide technical leadership and coordinate a team of developers (junior/mid-level), guiding them, reviewing code, and defining standards and best practices in the mainframe environment; * Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL programs in the mainframe environment, as well as batch solutions via JCL and integration with DB2 databases; * Manage technical interfaces with databases (DB2), including JCLs, scheduling, job optimization, and performance tuning; * Produce and review technical documentation (specifications, workflows, operational manuals, runbooks), ensuring compliance with governance and quality standards; * Collaborate with business analysts, QA, operations, clients, and vendors to ensure solutions meet requirements, align with business needs, and remain sustainable; * Ensure timely delivery, quality of deliverables, and proactive response to changes in scope or environment. **Minimum Requirements:** * Proven experience, typically **7+ years**, in mainframe development (COBOL, JCL, DB2); * Strong technical expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, plus familiarity with CICS, VSAM, or other mainframe components; * Experience in technical analysis, estimation, architecture review, and engagement with clients or business during requirement gathering or definition phases; * Leadership and mentoring skills for technical teams, establishing standards, reviewing code, and driving team performance; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical teams, business units, clients, and internal/external stakeholders; * Quality-, process-, and continuous improvement-oriented mindset, with autonomy and a technical/strategic perspective; * Degree in IT or related fields, or equivalent experience; * Knowledge of mainframe version control tools such as Changeman; **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in modernization of legacy systems (mainframe to modern platforms) or mainframe migration; * Prior experience managing scope or assessment/project phases for IT clients. **Desired Profile and Soft Skills:** * Ability to provide technical and people leadership: guide, develop, and inspire teams; * Strategic and analytical mindset to understand the business, look beyond the code, and propose high-value solutions; * Skill in negotiating priorities and managing trade-offs among speed, quality, and cost; * Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to translate technical jargon for business audiences, listen actively, and align expectations; * Proactivity, autonomy, delivery focus, and commitment to continuous improvement; * Adaptability to change and willingness to support critical production or client situations. **Work Type / Employment Type:** * CLT; * **HYBRID** work model for **RECIFE/PE, Campina Grande/PB, Fortaleza/CE, and other regions in Northeast Brazil.** **Benefits:** * Health Insurance – 100% company-subsidized (for employee and dependents); * Dental Insurance; * Meal or Food Allowance – no payroll deduction; * Life Insurance; * Private Pension Plan; * Gympass; * Option to purchase company stock at a discount; * Pharmacy Discount; * Daycare Assistance; * Language School Partnership; * Extended Maternity and Paternity Leave; * Profit Sharing Program (PPR) **\*As per current policy\*** We seek candidates aligned with our company values, enthusiastic about working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, and committed to excellence in delivery and innovation in their daily work.
