The **Operational Excellence Specialist** will be responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining Lightwall’s operational excellence system, directly optimizing industrial processes, increasing productive efficiency, reducing losses and process variability, and consolidating indicator-based management. This role requires technical and analytical capabilities grounded in data, recognized methodologies, and operational standardization—ensuring stability, predictability, and continuous improvement of industrial outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, analyze, and optimize production processes through detailed mapping (VSM, flowcharts, SIPOC), waste identification, and variability analysis.
* Define, develop, and sustain industrial performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), losses, rework, lead time, operational yield, and costs.
* Conduct root cause analyses using tools such as PDCA, A3, Ishikawa diagram, 5 Whys, and FMEA.
* Lead continuous improvement projects focused on increasing production capacity, reducing operational costs, and standardizing methods.
* Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing practices, including work standardization, visual management, Kaizen, 5S, line balancing, and setup reduction (SMED).
* Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to analyze and improve industrial asset reliability, supporting TPM and autonomous maintenance initiatives.
* Design and maintain technical process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control routines.
* Monitor adherence to operational standards and propose corrective and preventive actions for performance deviations.
* Support industrial cost management by identifying wastes (materials, time, energy, labor).
* Contribute to the implementation and improvement of industrial management systems, ERPs, and operational data collection and analysis tools.
* Ensure sustainability of implemented improvements through monitoring routines, internal audits, and indicator reviews.
* **Technical Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
* Proven technical experience in industrial environments, with focus on continuous improvement, production processes, or operational excellence.
* Solid knowledge of industrial KPIs and basic statistical data analysis.
* Experience in process standardization, routine management, and operational control.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency for data analysis, reporting, and KPI tracking.
**Hard Skills**
* Industrial process mapping and analysis (VSM, flowcharts, SIPOC).
* Management and analysis of industrial KPIs (OEE, productivity, losses, efficiency, costs).
* Continuous improvement methodologies: Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, Kaizen, TPM, SMED.
* Quality tools and root cause analysis (A3, Ishikawa, FMEA, 5 Whys).
* Operational standardization and development of SOPs and work instructions.
* Industrial cost control and analysis.
* ERP and production control systems (MES – preferred).
* Power BI or other BI tools for indicator analysis (preferred).
**Soft Skills**
* Technical, analytical, and data-driven profile.
* Ability to technically lead improvement projects and routines.
* Objective and technical communication across all operational levels.
* Organization, discipline, and execution focus.
* Critical thinking, autonomy, and systemic view of industrial processes.
**Technical Differentiators**
* Experience with OEE, TPM, autonomous maintenance, and asset reliability.
* Experience in structured Lean Manufacturing projects.
* Knowledge of MES, industrial automation, or production data integration.
* Certifications in Lean or Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt).
