




Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating, moving, and storing materials in compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures. Efficient communication with the logistics team **Job Objective** To operate forklifts safely and efficiently, ensuring correct material handling, storage, and organization. Requirements * High school diploma completed. * Forklift Operator training course (NR-11). * Machinery Safety (N-12) will be an advantage. * Valid driver’s license, category B (category D is an advantage). * Proven experience in forklift operation, specifically with Electric and/or Tri-directional Forklifts. * Shift availability. **Responsibilities:** * Operate the forklift safely, adhering to all safety regulations and operational procedures. * Interpret work orders, material handling plans, and cargo scheduling. * Conduct visual inspections prior to forklift operation to ensure it is in proper working condition. * Verify contents, weights, and volumes of loads to be handled. * Equipment Selection: * Select appropriate material handling equipment according to load type and work environment. * Load and unload goods, following scheduling instructions and movement sequence. * Use forklift attachments as required by specific load needs. * Control forklift speed and direction during operations to ensure safety and efficiency. * Perform basic equipment checks, such as lubrication and inspection of essential components. * Identification of Malfunctions: * Identify malfunctions or damages in equipment and report them to the maintenance team. * Store cargo according to regulations, considering expiration dates, cargo characteristics, and specific requirements. * Sort and report non-conforming or damaged cargo. * Maintain efficient communication with other operators, supervisors, and the logistics team. * Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain situational awareness to prevent accidents. * Participate in regular training sessions to update skills and knowledge.
