Performing mechanical tests and product characterization tests SERENG is an engineering company specializing in Projects, Consulting, Project Management, Technical Support, and Asset Management (Maintenance), operating across diverse industrial sectors! **Responsibilities and Duties** * This position requires developing and applying specimen preparation and metallographic and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis techniques aimed at revealing the microstructures of steels, phases, and morphologies of galvanized coatings (GI/GA/GL/ZM). * Participate in experiments, collecting and interpreting data to support R&D projects and studies. * Perform metallographic analyses, mechanical tests, and product characterization tests, collecting and interpreting results. * Procure, store, and manage consumables required for the operation of the metallography/SEM/EDS laboratory. * Maintain equipment, instruments, and physical facilities of the physical metallurgy laboratory in good working condition. * Carry out activities in compliance with environmental protection procedures recommended in technical and operational standards. * Perform related tasks as required by operational needs. * Adhere to company standards applicable to your work area (corporate, technical, and operational standards). * Report anomalies identified in your work area or elsewhere in the company by recording them in the appropriate system. * Propose improvements to standards related to your activities. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Knowledge of microstructures and metallographic analyses, and practical application of such knowledge. * Technical, technological, or higher education degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science; a background in metallurgy combined with prior knowledge of microscopy is ideal. **Additional Information** * Health insurance; * Life insurance; * Meal allowance; * Transportation allowance; * Wellhub (GYMPASS) membership.
