Job Summary: Installs and maintains thermal insulation systems on equipment and structures, ensuring energy efficiency, safety, and proper performance. Key Highlights: 1. Conduct quality tests and follow safety guidelines **JOB MISSION** Install and maintain thermal insulation systems on a variety of equipment, piping, structures, and systems to control heat transfer, ensuring energy efficiency, safety, and proper equipment performance. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Review project plans and specifications to determine thermal insulation requirements. * Prepare surfaces and substrates for insulation application. * Select appropriate insulating materials based on project needs and operating conditions. * Cut and shape insulating materials according to specified dimensions. * Apply insulating materials to surfaces, piping, or equipment in accordance with project guidelines. * Ensure insulation is installed uniformly and at the correct thickness. * Use appropriate methods to secure insulation, such as adhesives, rivets, or mechanical supports. * Seal all joints and seams to prevent moisture or air intrusion. * Conduct quality tests and inspections to ensure thermal insulation meets project standards and specifications. * Make adjustments and repairs as necessary. * Strictly follow all workplace safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Ensure insulation does not compromise the safety of other workers or facilities. **DESIRABLE EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:** * Completion of at least fourth grade of elementary education is desirable * Basic training in the role is desirable * NR35 certification * Knowledge of insulating materials and application techniques, along with skills in reading blueprints and technical specifications.
