We encourage applications from Black individuals, persons with disabilities, LGBTQIAPN+, and individuals from diverse generations. \#VemSerTelemont. **Responsibilities and Duties** Assist in optical fiber splicing activities; Assist in aerial and underground optical cable laying; Assist in vegetation clearance around optical cables; Assist in pole installation and associated telephone equipment; Assist in removal of deactivated wires and cables; Assist in replacement of splice assemblies and terminal boxes; Assist in opening duct lines and trenches; Assist in testing for optical cable fault diagnostics; Assist in optical cable route inspections and periodic preventive fiber testing; Assist—and when necessary, open and close optical splice boxes, prepare cables, fuse fibers, and install terminal boxes; Assist in performing aerial and underground splices on active and deactivated optical cables; Excavations to access buried optical cables and underground splice boxes, soil probing to locate boxes and cables, and vegetation clearance along optical cables. Perform other activities of similar nature, complexity level, and responsibility. **Requirements and Qualifications** Completed elementary education.
