ITINERANT WORK AVAILABILITY FOR TRAVEL. **Job Summary** The Backhoe Operator is responsible for operating and driving backhoes on civil construction, earthmoving, sanitation, mining, agricultural, or urban maintenance projects. Performs excavations, soil removal, material transportation, and supports activities requiring the use of the equipment, ensuring machine safety and proper operation. Operate backhoe to excavate trenches, remove debris, load trucks, and carry out earthmoving and leveling tasks. Inspect equipment conditions daily before use, including oil levels, fuel, hydraulic system, brakes, and tires. Perform basic maintenance and report malfunctions to the maintenance department. Position the machine appropriately at the construction site, ensuring stability and operational safety. Interpret work orders and follow technical instructions and safety regulations. Support field teams in activities involving excavation, drainage, foundations, and compaction. Complete equipment usage and maintenance reports. Act preventively to avoid damage to underground pipelines, electrical networks, and other subterranean structures. **EDUCATION:** Completed elementary education. Certified Backhoe Operator course with up-to-date certification. Valid driver’s license compatible with the machine (typically Class "C" or higher). **EXPERIENCE:** Previous experience of 1 to 2 years as a certified Backhoe Operator with up-to-date certification. Proven experience in the role.
