### **About the Position:**
As a cashier, you will serve customers, receive payments, issue receipts, and close the cash register in your assigned work area.
### **Mandatory Requirements:**
* High school education in progress;
* Must be at least 18 years old.
### **Desired Qualifications:**
* Prior experience as a cashier or in other customer service roles
* Proficiency in handling cash and performing basic mathematical calculations
* Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic cash register systems
* Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers
* Organizational skills and attention to detail
* Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
### **Responsibilities**
* Register customer purchases at the electronic cash register, ensuring accurate amounts
* Keep the cash register organized and stocked with bills and coins for change
* Process payments in cash, credit or debit cards, and other payment methods accepted by the establishment
* Serve and assist customers courteously and efficiently with their inquiries and requests
* Verify product validity and pricing to ensure data integrity
* Perform end-of-shift cash register closing, reconciling total sales revenue and cash-on-hand balance
* Assist with restocking products on shelves when necessary
* Adhere to the establishment's safety and hygiene policies and procedures
* Stay updated on supermarket products and promotions to better serve customers
