Description

Job Summary: A professional responsible for preparing parts for welding, operating welding machines, assembling and disassembling equipment, assisting in sheet metal cutting, operating torches and plasma cutters, and performing material decharacterization. Organizing and maintaining materials and equipment Prepares parts for welding; adjusts the amperage of the welding machine; assembles and disassembles equipment according to technical drawings; assists in aligning parts prior to welding; grinds parts after welding for improved finish; assists in cutting sheets and profiles to project-specified dimensions; performs tasks using torches and plasma cutters; prepares work areas by removing fire hazards such as grease, oil, rags, etc.; verifies gas quantities; checks whether cylinders are securely fastened; verifies presence of flashback arrestors (on torches and cylinder outlets); retrieves parts or materials; performs cleaning and organization (5S) in the area; ensures proper organization and maintenance of materials and equipment under their responsibility; organizes the recycling area; operates hydraulic presses; identifies and sorts materials according to classification; feeds presses; stacks baled materials; operates industrial vehicles. Performs high-altitude work for maintenance tasks. Performs material decharacterization using torches, grinders, pneumatic shears, and manual tools.
