




Job Summary: A Kitchen Assistant supports the preparation of bases and fruit processing for gelatos, basic pastry work, operation of equipment, and maintenance of kitchen organization and hygiene. Opportunity to learn and operate ice cream parlor equipment. **Position: Kitchen Assistant** **Responsibilities:** * **Base Preparation:** Assist in mixing and pasteurizing milk- or water-based gelato bases. * **Fruit Processing:** Wash, peel, cut, and prepare fresh fruits for recipes. * **Weighing and Measuring:** Follow recipes precisely, weighing and portioning ingredients (sugars, stabilizers, bases, pastes). * **Basic Pastry Work:** Support production of syrups, fillings, cookies, crumb toppings, and other items for inclusion in gelato. * **Equipment Operation:** Assist in operating gelato makers, popsicle machines, and pasteurizers. * **Utensil Cleaning:** Wash pots, sinks, spatulas, and large-scale ice cream machines. * **Kitchen Organization:** Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized production area in compliance with food safety regulations (ANVISA). * **Display Case Organization:** Assist in organizing and restocking the gelato display case. * **Inventory Control:** Support receiving, storage, and shelf-life tracking of supplies. * **Labeling:** Ensure all produced items are correctly labeled with manufacturing and expiration dates. * **Temperature Monitoring:** Monitor temperatures of freezers, blast chillers, and pasteurizers. * **Compliance with Standards:** Strictly adhere to the hygiene standards of the franchise or artisanal gelateria. * **Requirements:** * **Skills:** Agility, proactivity, organization, attention to detail, and teamwork. * **Experience:** Prior experience in kitchens or pastry shops is desirable, though many positions offer full training. * **Schedule:** Rotating 6x1 schedule — one fixed weekly day off and one Sunday off per month — either from 7:00 AM to 3:20 PM or from 10:00 AM to 6:20 PM \* **Benefits:** * Meal allowance of BRL 30.00 per working day (monthly deduction of BRL 1.00) * Transportation allowance or fuel allowance of BRL 410.00, no deduction; * Conexa Health (monthly online consultations, free with psychologists and nutritionists); * Bimonthly bonus of up to BRL 300.00 for achieving the store’s sales target; Gympass; * Cinema Kit + Day Off on your birthday; Bimonthly attendance bonus of BRL 100.00; * Unimed health and dental plan after 3 months; * Life insurance; * 50% discount on gelato purchases and 10% discount on pastry and café items from the brand; * Internal career advancement opportunities.
