JOB DESCRIPTION Job Objective
Responsible for the technical and operational management of the collection unit, ensuring excellence in patient care, quality of laboratory processes, compliance with technical and sanitary regulations, as well as team leadership to guarantee operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily activities of the collection unit, ensuring full operational functionality.
* Perform and supervise biological sample collection procedures (blood, urine, feces, secretions, and other authorized tests).
* Ensure correct identification, packaging, storage, and transportation of biological samples.
* Ensure compliance with ANVISA, Sanitary Surveillance, LGPD, applicable RDCs, and other current legislation.
* Supervise, guide, train, and develop the unit’s technical and administrative staff.
* Develop and monitor work schedules, coverage for absences, and task distribution.
* Monitor quality, productivity, service, and unit performance indicators.
* Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company internal standards.
* Manage inventory of materials and laboratory supplies, requesting replenishment when necessary.
* Maintain equipment integrity by scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance.
* Address non-conformities, patient complaints, and operational incidents.
* Promote continuous improvement initiatives, unit organization, and process standardization.
* Participate in internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions when required.
* Maintain ongoing communication with the company’s technical and administrative management.
* Ensure achievement of unit quality, service, and performance targets.
* Support commercial initiatives, health campaigns, and strategies to increase unit productivity.
* Represent the unit technically before regulatory authorities when required.
Requirements Education
* Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences.
* Active registration with the Regional Council of Biomedicine (CRBM).
Desirable
* Postgraduate degree in Management, Clinical Analysis, Quality Management, or related fields.
* Experience in team leadership and management of healthcare units.
* Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS), computer skills, and Microsoft Office suite.
