RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS **JOB MISSION:** Facilitate communication between deaf individuals and hearing society or vice\-versa, enabling access to curricular content developed at the Institution. Translate texts for interpretation and instantly interpret speech, consecutively translating through sign language and voice-over, as well as translating gestures into words for the hearing and words into gestures for the deaf, participating in events, conferences, lectures, workshops, among others, reproducing orally or gesturally the message to be conveyed, enabling understanding and dialogue, respecting the respective context and cultural characteristics of the parties involved. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / ATTRIBUTES:** Establish communication between deaf users of Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) and hearing individuals, aiming to mediate communication between deaf and hearing people, facilitating accessible dialogue and interpretation. Interpret events, academic ceremonies, and others, as well as accompany the deaf individual during learning moments, conveying the words of event hosts in a way that enables understanding of the messages. Interpret orally and/or using sign language, simultaneously or consecutively, speeches, debates, texts, electronic communication forms, respecting the respective context and cultural characteristics of the parties involved. Interpret discussions and negotiations, paying attention to the content of the messages to faithfully convey what was presented. Instantly interpret and translate speeches, events, etc., through sign language, enabling comprehension of the communication. Participate in conferences, lectures, and workshops, institutional games, study trips, among others, accompanying the deaf individual to ensure accessibility and understanding of what is being communicated or discussed. Interpret classroom lessons into sign language for the deaf student, act as a mediator for the student within the class (inclusion) and with the teacher, to maximize the deaf student's understanding, and guide the teacher on Deaf culture so that, when teaching, certain adaptations may be made. Transmit the student's ideas into Portuguese when the student expresses them. Inform how Libras affects the student's written Portuguese, as well as clarify the linguistic differences between the two languages. Prepare reports on what is being carried out during classes so that the Libras coordinator is informed about the progress of activities. Interpret and assist during staff appointments. Contribute to analyses and improvement projects for the set of area activities, seeking ways to rationalize and optimize time and improve quality. Comply with internal regulations, health, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures inherent to the department, as well as observe compliance requirements, regulations, and company policies. Perform other duties inherent to the position or as assigned by the immediate supervisor, provided they are within the employee's qualifications and expertise, striving to stay updated and continuously proposing improvements or innovations. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS **Education:** Completed High School \+ Technical Specialization Course in LIBRAS **Computer skills:** Office Suite.
