Your day at Medtronic * Responsible for promoting sustainability, health, safety, and well\-being in the workplace; * Promote and ensure compliance with legal and corporate environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements with support from senior leadership, managers, and employees; * Support the implementation and maintenance of the company’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management system based on internal and external reference standards; * Implement regulatory standards, environmental, safety, and occupational medicine programs; * Encourage and control reporting of incidents (Accidents, First Aid, Near Misses, and Hazard Observations) related to environment, health, and safety (EHS); * Implement and support accident prevention actions and elimination of workplace risks; * Implement improvements in low and medium complexity work processes and procedures using root cause analysis and problem\-solving tools; * Ensure absenteeism management and employee occupational exams in collaboration with managers and HR; * Ensure compliance with conditions of municipal, state, and/or federal environmental licenses and their environmental controls; * Develop, review, and validate environment, health, and safety (EHS) standards, procedures, and work instructions according to applicable corporate and legal EHS requirements; * Develop, review, and deliver environment, health, and safety (EHS) training to all employees and third parties present at the company; * Develop, review, and implement the Emergency Response Plan and Emergency Brigade; * Support and guide the Internal Accident and Harassment Prevention Committee – CIPA; * Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections (e.g., Gembas) to ensure effectiveness of operational controls (e.g., Machine and Equipment Guards, Safety Signage, PPE Usage, etc); * Investigate and analyze workplace accidents, proposing corrective and preventive measures; * Control, monitor, and report environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance indicator data; * Perform and support emergency response for employees (e.g., First Aid) and in the workplace (e.g., Fire Emergencies); * Manage third parties regarding environment, health, and safety (EHS), verifying and validating required and applicable EHS documentation, training service providers, and monitoring proper and safe service execution; * Assess risks associated with new machines, equipment, and processes and propose control measures meeting applicable corporate and legal EHS requirements; * Train and raise worker awareness about activity risks, as well as measures for eliminating and neutralizing risks to be adopted; * Collaborate in implementing and monitoring workplace accident and occupational disease prevention programs with worker participation, tracking and evaluating results; * Contribute to environmental activities that may pose risks to employee health and physical integrity, such as guidance and training on proper segregation, storage, and disposal of industrial waste; * Ensure company waste, effluent, and water management complies with applicable corporate and legal EHS standards and procedures, ensuring process compliance with support from senior leadership, managers, and employees. * Follow rules and instructions defined by your immediate supervisor, adhering to responsibilities and authorities established for your position within the company’s management system; * Lead and support EHS\&S culture support programs, including participation in the “Tier” communication process if necessary; * Follow rules and instructions defined by your immediate supervisor, adhering to responsibilities established for your position in the quality manual and quality documents. * Follow guidelines and processes outlined in the Safety, Medicine, and Environment Manual.
