The temporary position lasts until August 31, 2026, with the possibility of permanent employment.
The department has its own premises at Malangstun Nursing Home. We provide services to residents in care apartments and homes, as well as in their private homes. The home care service provides health assistance, practical help, digital monitoring, and operation of day centers.
The position is included in shift scheduling, and there is an opportunity for long shifts if desired.
Work tasks
The work tasks are exciting and varied, and you will meet users with different diagnoses, ages, functional levels, and procedures. Here, you will have skilled colleagues, and you will be able to develop as a nurse whether you are newly qualified or have many years of experience. As a nurse, you also have the responsibility to guide new employees and students, and you contribute to ensuring that the department operates safely and professionally.
Qualifications
Publicly certified nurse, or other relevant healthcare education
Applicants currently enrolled in healthcare education may be considered
Proficiency in written and spoken Norwegian
Driver's license class B

Balsfjord Municipality has the following recruitment measures for newly hired nurses/assistant nurses:
New recruits may receive a recruitment grant of NOK 50,000, subject to a two-year commitment. The amount is paid as a lump sum upon appointment. If the employee leaves the position before the commitment period ends, the grant must be repaid proportionally based on the remaining time.
Newly recruited nurses and assistant nurses are placed with a minimum of 10 years of seniority.
Nurses, assistant nurses, and specialist nurses/assistant nurses across the entire health and care sector receive an additional NOK 25,000 on their annual salary.
As a senior initiative, nurses and assistant nurses receive an additional NOK 25,000 on their annual salary from the year they turn 62.
These supplements apply to 100% positions and are adjusted according to position size.
