**Job Description:** The Cashier Operator is an important member of the customer service team at the packaging distributor, responsible for conducting financial transactions, assisting customers, and maintaining accurate sales records. This professional plays a crucial role in the customer experience and in the store's financial management. **Main Responsibilities:** Customer Service: Greet customers courteously, assist them during transactions, and answer questions about products and prices. Cash Handling Operations: Register products, calculate purchase totals, receive payments in cash or by credit/debit card, and provide change. Document Verification: Verify the authenticity of banknotes, checks, and cards, ensuring they are securely accepted. Processing Returns and Exchanges: Assist customers with product returns and exchanges, following company procedures. Issuing Fiscal Receipts: Issue and deliver fiscal receipts to customers for their purchases. Cash Drawer Replenishment: Keep the cash register stocked with sufficient change and fiscal documents. Closing the Cash Register: Perform end-of-shift cash register closing, ensuring that the total amount matches the transactions carried out. Security and Compliance: Follow all security policies and procedures, including fraud prevention measures.
