Job Summary: The Substitute Pharmacist is responsible for assuming the duties of the titular pharmacist, ensuring compliance with regulations and supervising internal pharmacy processes. Supervision of staff and assurance of Good Storage Practices **Substitute Pharmacist** The Substitute Pharmacist is the professional temporarily assuming the responsibilities of the titular pharmacist, ensuring compliance with sanitary, technical, and legal regulations related to pharmaceutical activities. This role involves responsible dispensing of medications, patient counseling, and supervision of internal pharmacy processes, safeguarding product quality, safety, and efficacy. Key responsibilities include: verifying and approving medical prescriptions; advising customers and patients on correct medication use; managing inventory; checking expiration dates; tracking orders; recording controlled substances in accordance with current legislation; and supervising pharmacy attendants and assistants. The role also entails ensuring compliance with Good Storage and Dispensing Practices; maintaining workplace organization; supporting audits and inspections; and reporting any irregularities to legal representatives. When required, the Substitute Pharmacist participates in team training, implements process improvements, and contributes to optimizing customer service. A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, active registration with the Regional Council of Pharmacy (CRF), and knowledge of current sanitary legislation are mandatory. Desirable competencies include responsibility, professional ethics, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proactivity.
