Description
**ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Perform high-complexity tasks while identifying opportunities for improvement;
* Operate CNC machines according to the production schedule, loading them with required tooling and workpieces to be processed;
* Prepare CNC machines by verifying necessary fixtures and tools, and requesting production release.
* Inspect machined parts via sampling, segregating and reporting occurrences of rejections, rework, and scrap;
* Evaluate and replace cutting tools, placing replaced tools into the sharpened-tool reserve system, and forwarding replaced tools to the Sharpening or Preset Department.
* Assemble and forward batches of produced parts to subsequent operations, adhering to required protective measures and handling precautions;
* Record machine output and enter data into CEP charts (Statistical Process Control) to ensure accurate information for departmental performance indicators;
* Train new operators on machining processes and CNC machine operation, as assigned by the area supervisor.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Completed High School education;
**TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:**
* Metrology;
* Reading and interpretation of mechanical engineering drawings;
* Basic CNC operation.
* Completed CNC training course;
* Basic experience in the role;
* Flexible working hours availability.
