Join the **Grupo Herval** team! **Responsibilities and duties** * Responsible for analyzing accounting trial balances; preparing economic and financial management reports; calculating economic and financial indicators; developing departmental budgets; monitoring budget execution; analyzing reports; advising company management. * Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment, motivating the team to achieve goals and objectives, with direct reporting to the Controller Director. * Lead analysis of impacts from current legislation, guiding the team to provide advisory support to business areas regarding accounting requirements and guidelines. * Develop and disseminate accounting policies and standards for Group businesses. * Analyze managerial accounting data and operational performance indicators. * Review and implement controls that proactively mitigate risks of distortions in financial statements through adequate automation aligned with current CPCs and IFRS. * Monitor business growth by providing analyses supporting decision-making and implementing controls to prevent waste and losses. * Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in compliance with company standards. * Responsible for issuing individual and consolidated financial statements for companies in Brazil, Uruguay, and the United States. * Manage external audit activities to meet target deadlines for opinion delivery. **Requirements and qualifications** * Degree in Accounting and active CRC registration; * MBA/Master's/Postgraduate degree preferably in controllership, accounting, financial markets, or corporate finance; * In-depth understanding of IFRS and business trends; * Experience in financial statement consolidation (FS); * Proficiency in software (SAP, advanced Office suite), Power BI, database handling, Big Data, dashboards, automation, and agile methodologies; * Knowledge of international and banking accounting (COSIF); * Ability to make quick, informed decisions (data-driven), especially under pressure; * Strong time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and effectively delegating responsibilities; * Strong communication and relationship skills with internal departments, regulatory bodies, and internal and external auditors; * Curious, proactive, and driven by challenges. **Additional information HERE'S A TIP:** * We're looking for someone with leadership in their DNA, who enjoys debating and finding ways to help the company and colleagues continuously improve.
