Description
Operation of Friction Die Press: Using pliers, the operator picks up a heated workpiece and places it into the press; then activates the press via a lever — the press descends to shape the workpiece as intended. Another worker uses pliers to remove the shaped workpiece and places it onto a nearby metal bench for the next step. This worker also periodically lubricates the die using a metal piece with a cloth bushing moistened with burnt oil and graphite.
Deburring Press Operation: Using pliers, the worker picks up a heated workpiece, places it into the press, and activates it via a foot pedal; the press descends and trims the workpiece, removing burrs. Once completed, the workpiece drops to a lower level within the die itself. The same worker then removes the leftover scrap material using pliers and places it into a metal box for disposal. Another worker retrieves the finished workpiece and places it into another metal box destined for shipping.
May also perform tasks in the tooling department: Design and manufacture machining tools and fixtures; cutting, bending, drawing, and fine-blanking dies; blow molds, injection molds, and electro-erosion molds; metallic mold patterns for casting; perform dimensional inspection of machined parts and products; and plan manufacturing processes for products or prototypes. Performs part joining using welding (MIG, TIG, oxy-fuel cutting).

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (1-hour break); Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour break).

Salary: R$2.516,20 – R$2.650,40 per month
