The HRD Manager reports to the Director of HR, Communication & Sustainability and collaborates closely with both the Director and the HR Manager. You will join the HRD department, which comprises three employees, and also work closely with a total of 12 colleagues across the entire HR function. The HRD department continuously develops and implements new developmental projects for the entire KNI A/S organization. We aim to be a key player in Greenlandic society, delivering vital public services and serving as a training and employment site for skilled, development-oriented individuals with global perspectives and business acumen. For HRD, it is essential that the team shares a clear understanding of the company’s business objectives, plans, and challenges—both short- and long-term—and of what organizational capabilities the company must deliver, such as enhanced customer focus, increased mobility, and greater cost awareness. HRD must ensure shared understanding and application of a strong linkage between HRD initiatives and business needs, so the organization is equipped to deliver on KNI’s goals and results. **As HRD Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:** * Ensuring daily operations in close collaboration with the HR Manager and the Director of HR, Communication & Sustainability * Coordination and delegation of tasks * Implementation and support of the HR strategy, strategic plan, and KNI’s corporate values * Coordination of development initiatives, including planning and execution of courses, training programs, and other competence development activities * Trainee administration, as well as mentoring and support for trainee mentors across the coast * Planning, launching, and coordinating new cross-organizational initiatives * Participation in various HR and HRD projects * Contributing to ESG-related initiatives within the HR domain—experience with ESG is an advantage but not a requirement, as competencies can be developed on the job in collaboration with the HR Manager and the Director **We seek a candidate who:** * Holds a relevant academic degree or substantial professional experience in HR and/or competence development * Has experience working strategically and translating strategy into practice * Is versatile, responsible, open-minded, possesses a positive outlook on life, and works well in teams * Has an overview and can operate across departments and functional areas * Can work independently and proactively, and contribute new ideas **We offer the right candidate:** * Salary commensurate with qualifications, on individual terms * For external applicants, housing may be provided, subject to rent, deposit, utility charges, etc., in accordance with applicable regulations If you require further information about the position, please contact the Director of HR, Communication & Sustainability, Juliane H.
