Our goal is clear: to become Brazil’s best mining company, and we know this is only possible by investing in the people who build this future with us, every day. **Do you identify with this?** We seek a **Senior Geotechnician** responsible for integrating geotechnics into medium/long-term planning (LOM) and operational strategy, ensuring compliance with international standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. **Work Location:** Pilar – Jaguarari/BA **Employment Model:** Permanent, CLT \| On-site **Management:** GEGET (for internal use) **Responsibilities and Duties** * Integrate geotechnics into medium/long-term planning (LOM) and operational strategy; * Actively engage across all three units (Pilar, Vermelhos, and Surubim), assessing feasibility of new mining projects, leading advanced numerical modeling, driving continuous improvement, and supporting management in high-impact decision-making; * Establish medium- and long-term technical guidelines and ensure geotechnical evolution aligns with the company’s safety, productivity, and sustainability objectives; * Assess geotechnical feasibility of new underground and open-pit mining sectors; * Analyze geomechanical constraints affecting elevation, depth, or lateral expansion of mining faces; * Actively participate in long-term planning and project routines, ensuring strategic decisions align with stability and safety criteria; * Plan, coordinate, and validate 2D and 3D numerical modeling (RS2, FLAC3D, MAP3D, etc.) focused on predicting long-term geomechanical behavior; * Evaluate hypothetical excavation, support, and geotechnical structure interaction scenarios over multi-year horizons; * Identify latent risk zones that could compromise the mine’s future viability; * Lead or support structural projects such as redesigning support strategies, reviewing geotechnical mining sequencing criteria, defining exclusion or restriction zones, and integrating geotechnics, hydrogeology, and structural geology; * Participate in internal and external audits focused on medium- and long-term plans; * Contribute to reviewing and updating the company’s geotechnical policies, technical standards, and guidelines; * Promote the introduction of new technologies applicable to geomechanical behavior prediction (e.g., machine learning, predictive dashboards, etc.); * Assess benchmarks and technical case studies from other operations for local application; * Encourage development of technical maturity and predictive performance indicators in geotechnics; * Issue strategic opinions on future risks and mitigation measures; * Advise on technical prioritization of future geotechnical investigation areas (drilling, testing, long-term instrumentation). **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Geology; * Active registration with CREA; * Experience in underground mine geotechnics and proficiency in geotechnical software; * Knowledge of instrumentation, seismic monitoring, and numerical modeling; * Preferred experience in open-pit mines; * Preferred postgraduate degree or master’s in Geotechnics; * Driver’s License: B. **Additional Information** * Competitive salary * Profit-sharing program (PLR) * Private pension plan * Health insurance * Dental assistance * Life insurance * On-site meals (at operational units) * Meal voucher (at offices) * Food allowance * Transportation * Quality of Life Program * Gympass – Wellhub * Extended Maternity and Paternity Leave (Citizen Company) * Club membership agreement — may vary by location * Eyeglasses purchase assistance for family members #### **We are ERO, one of Brazil’s leading copper and gold producers.** **We belong to a global group headquartered in Canada with a strong presence in Brazil.
