




Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Geologist to support geological exploration activities, ensuring proper collection, description, organization, and control of samples and data. Active participation in sampling campaigns and quality control. Junior Geologist Position Description: We are seeking a Junior Geologist to join our team. The professional will support geological exploration activities, ensuring correct collection, description, organization, and control of geological and geochemical samples, as well as recording and ensuring the quality of field and laboratory-generated data. Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, preservation of the geological archive, and support for implementing sampling and QA/QC programs, ensuring data reliability for decision-making and compliance with technical standards and audits. Responsibilities: * Describe samples; monitor data collection, sampling, and register information in the geological database (MX Deposit or similar); * Prepare technical reports and provide necessary information to interfacing departments; * Organize cataloging, storage, and disposal of samples, ensuring preservation of the geological heritage for audits and future studies; * Assist in managing the sample archive, develop activity schedules and maintenance plans, and supervise drilling and sampling contracts; * Assist in organizing, identifying, and preparing samples from auger campaigns for laboratory submission; * Assist in quality control of geological and geochemical data generated in the field; * Assist in inventory management of consumables and sampling tools, such as rods, drill bits, extensions, motors, sample containers, and field materials; * Participate in geochemical sampling campaigns, including soil sample collection and description; * Monitor mechanized auger sampling programs and perform geological descriptions of soil profiles obtained by augering; * Support implementation of the QA/QC program, ensuring sampling quality, sample preparation, and verification of analyses conducted at external laboratories. Requirements: * Degree in Geology * Active CREA registration * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Knowledge of geology/mining software \- QGIS preferred * Ability to work effectively in a team * Strong verbal and written communication skills Additional Qualifications: * Intermediate English proficiency; * Experience in geochemical sampling, soil description, and auger campaigns; * Familiarity with routines for sample preparation, organization, and laboratory submission.
