Planning and supervision of forest management **Job Description:** A professional responsible for coordinating and supervising environmental and forestry activities related to the implementation and maintenance of highway construction projects, ensuring compliance with environmental conditions, regulatory agency guidelines, and sound vegetation management practices. The Senior Forestry Engineer will be responsible for the technical management of vegetation removal, restoration of degraded areas, and environmental monitoring, working directly with field teams, environmental agencies, and project coordination. **Responsibilities:** * Plan, supervise, and monitor vegetation removal and forest management activities; * Prepare and review technical reports, forest management plans, and forest restoration projects (PRAD, PBA, etc.); * Coordinate field teams and ensure adherence to environmental deadlines and standards; * Support environmental management of the project, ensuring compliance with licenses and conditions; * Conduct technical inspections and liaise with environmental agencies and regulators; * Analyze maps and geospatial data related to intervention areas; * Guide implementation of mitigation measures and environmental programs specified in the project. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Forestry Engineering; * Active registration with CREA; * Knowledge of environmental legislation and licensing processes; * Proficiency in preparing and managing technical reports; * Willingness to travel and work on-site. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in restoration of degraded areas and flora monitoring; * Postgraduate degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, or related fields; * Knowledge of geoprocessing (QGIS, ArcGIS) and Environmental GIS; * Strong communication skills for interaction with environmental agencies.
