




Job Summary: Responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring import processes for goods and services, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to internal policies, as well as supporting national procurement activities. Support in national procurement for institutional purchases **Summary:** Planning, execution, and monitoring of import processes for goods and services required for projects, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies. Responsibilities include feasibility analysis, document management, issuance and validation of purchase orders, and monitoring clearance, customs release, and receipt of imported goods. Also provides support for national procurement related to institutional purchases. Requires experience in import operations, knowledge of customs legislation, and skills in process and document management. **Key Responsibilities:** * Plan, initiate, and monitor direct, indirect, and temporary import processes for goods, materials, and services necessary for project implementation; * Analyze import feasibility, verifying compliance with legislation, internal policies, tax requirements, and customs regulations; * Manage documentation with competent authorities and customs brokers, including application for Import Licenses; * Estimate import-related expenses, such as taxes, fees, freight, and insurance; * Issue and validate purchase orders in the internal system, ensuring all information is accurate and complete; * Monitor timelines, costs, and procedures for clearance and receipt of imported goods, ensuring compliance with specifications; * Support national procurement for institutional purchases, following internal rules and procedures; * Advise stakeholders on processes, timelines, costs, and required documentation for imports and institutional purchases; * Maintain relationships with foreign suppliers, legal representatives in Brazil, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies; * Support administrative demands of the institution and the department. **Position Requirements:** **Mandatory:** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Economics, Engineering, or related fields; * Proven experience in import processes (preferably in public or private institutions); * Knowledge of applicable customs, tax, and regulatory legislation; * Experience with procurement management systems for initiating and tracking purchase orders; **Desirable:** * Experience in institutional procurement and administrative processes within public agencies or foundations; * Knowledge of temporary importation and temporary exportation; * Familiarity with foreign exchange controls and international payments; * Experience in research or educational institutions; * Knowledge of integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Economics, Engineering, or related fields; technical-level English proficiency, with ability to read and interpret documents such as Proforma Invoices and communicate with international suppliers. **Skills:** Responsible, proactive, organized, deadline-oriented, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, committed to deadlines, and collaborative in team environments. **Salary Range:** R$ 5.000,00 to R$ 5.300,00 **Work Location:** IPT – Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas – Address: Av.
