Workplace Safety Technician I

The Workplace Safety Technician is responsible for promoting the health and safety of employees in the tempered glass industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best safety practices. This professional works preventively, identifying risks and proposing solutions to minimize accidents and occupational illnesses, contributing to a safe and healthy work environment. * Conduct regular inspections of facilities and production processes to identify potential risks. * Evaluate the safety conditions of equipment and work practices. * Develop, review, and implement workplace safety policies and standard operating procedures. * Ensure all employees are aware of and comply with safety regulations. * Plan and conduct periodic training sessions on workplace safety, use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and accident prevention. * Promote awareness campaigns about the importance of safety in the workplace. * Conduct detailed investigations of workplace accidents, preparing reports analyzing causes and recommending corrective actions. * Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. * Manage the supply, proper use, and maintenance of PPE, and maintain updated records on the distribution and usage of protective equipment. * Ensure the company complies with labor safety laws and regulatory standards. * Participate in internal and external audits, collaborating with regulatory agencies when necessary. * Coordinate occupational health medical control programs, such as pre-employment, periodic, and termination medical examinations. * Prepare and maintain up-to-date safety reports, accident statistics, and related documentation. * Periodically present safety performance indicators to management.
