Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of printing issues Main Responsibilities * **Equipment Preparation:** Adjusting and calibrating the screen printing machine, including mounting and tensioning screens (screen printing stencils), adjusting pressure rollers, and configuring printing parameters (speed, ink flow). * **Materials and Ink Preparation:** Selecting and preparing substrates (paper, plastic, glass, flexible circuit boards, etc.) and mixing inks to ensure correct color and viscosity, often matching exact customer specifications (e.g., Pantone codes). * **Operation and Monitoring:** Operating the machine during the printing process, continuously monitoring production to ensure smooth and efficient operation, making adjustments as needed. * **Quality Control:** Inspecting and examining printed materials to ensure accuracy, quality, color registration, and alignment, guaranteeing that the final product meets exact high-precision requirements (common in touch panels or light guides). * **Maintenance and Cleaning:** Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and screens, replacing worn parts, and keeping the work area organized and safe. * **Troubleshooting:** Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving common issues that may arise during the printing process. Required Qualifications and Skills * **Technical Experience:** Prior experience as a screen printing operator or in a similar role, especially with high-precision or automated machines. * **Attention to Detail:** Critical skill to ensure high precision and final product quality. * **Software Knowledge:** Ability to prepare digital files for printing and input programming data into computerized machines, where applicable. * **Coordination:** Good visual and manual coordination. * **Physical Stamina:** Ability to lift heavy objects and work in an industrial environment, which may involve chemical odors. * **Communication and Teamwork:** Communication skills to collaborate with team members and occasionally with customers to ensure deadlines and specifications are met.
