Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Developer to work closely with the Pentaho development team on a robust Quality Gate Integration project, optimizing performance and ensuring data quality. Ability to collaborate closely with ETL developers and architects **What We Are Looking For?** We seek a Data Developer to work closely with the Pentaho development team, contributing to the delivery of a robust Quality Gate Integration project deployed in an OpenShift environment. The role involves developing and maintaining SQL Server databases, supporting ETL data flows, optimizing performance, and ensuring the quality and integrity of data made available to downstream systems. **Key Responsibilities:** #### **1\. Database Design and Development** * Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, including tables, views, and stored procedures, within the Quality Gate framework. * Collaborate with Pentaho developers to implement and test data transformations and validation logic. * Support schema design, data mapping, and configurations aligned with business rules and integration contracts. #### **2\. Data Quality and Validation** * Create SQL scripts for data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation. * Ensure data integrity across systems such as PIM, PXHub, and output platforms. * Implement exception handling mechanisms and anomaly reporting. #### **3\. Performance and Optimization** * Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, and execution plans for large data volumes. * Identify performance bottlenecks in ETL processes and propose improvements. #### **4\. Integration and Automation** * Integrate SQL components into ETL pipelines developed in Pentaho. * Contribute to automation of deployments and scheduling in the OpenShift environment. * Collaborate with architects and infrastructure teams to ensure continuous data flow and monitoring of executions. #### **5\. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer** * Document database structures, data dictionaries, and SQL logic. * Support knowledge transfer to support and operations teams. **Requirements:** Technical Expertise * 3–5 years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration. * Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and stored procedure development. * Experience in ETL projects or data pipelines, preferably with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI). * Strong knowledge of data modeling, normalization, and relational design. Integration and Platforms * Experience with containerized environments (OpenShift or Kubernetes). * Familiarity with integrations via SFTP, APIs, or files between corporate systems (PIM, PLM, ERP). * Understanding of data validation frameworks and information governance.
