Description

Job Summary: Perform cargo loading and unloading, handling, verification, delivery/pickup, following guidelines and optimizing processes. Key Highlights: 1. Cargo loading and unloading 2. Handle goods between disembarkation and embarkation terminals, following guidelines for each type of cargo, cubic capacity, and vehicle. Deliver and collect cargo from end customers. * Verify invoices; * Check cargo weight; * Verify cargo prior to handling; * Reapply sealing tape to packaging when necessary; * Check storage conditions and proper packaging of cargo; * Verify volume identification labels; * Arrange deliveries according to schedule; * Sort cargo by destination; * Verify hazardous materials product labels; * Optimize loading and unloading time; * Advise customers on proper cargo packaging; * Follow packaging recommendations; * Control stacking limits for boxes; * Request authorization for special cargo loading; * Palletize and wrap cargo volumes per customer requirements; * Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the warehouse; * Report defective equipment; * Handle pallets correctly to prevent accidents and damage; * Perform other tasks relevant to the position.
