Description

Job Summary: Responsible for merchandise handling, loading, unloading, and delivery, ensuring proper organization and careful handling. Key Responsibilities: 1. Merchandise handling and organization 2. Cargo inspection and verification 3. Optimization of loading and unloading processes Perform merchandise loading and unloading. Move merchandise between unloading and loading terminals, following guidelines for each type of merchandise, cubic capacity, and vehicle. Deliver and collect cargo from end customers. * Verify invoices; * Check cargo weight; * Inspect cargo prior to handling; * Reapply sealing tape to packaging when necessary; * Verify storage conditions and proper packaging of cargo; * Check volume identification labels; * Schedule deliveries according to planning; * Sort cargo by destination; * Verify labels for hazardous goods; * Optimize loading and unloading time; * Advise customers on proper merchandise packaging; * Follow packaging recommendations; * Control stacking limits for boxes; * Request authorization for special cargo loading; * Palletize and wrap cargo in volumes according to customer requirements; * Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the warehouse; * Report defective equipment; * Exercise appropriate care in handling pallets to prevent accidents and damage; * Perform other duties relevant to the position.
