Job Summary: The Marista Brasil is seeking a Librarian to manage the library collection, coordinate technical and pedagogical services, assist users, and promote reading within an environment that values education and human relationships. In this role, you can make a difference through the following activities: * Manage the library collection, ensuring implementation of acquisition, maintenance, and disposal policies; * Coordinate and carry out the library’s technical, administrative, and pedagogical services, ensuring cataloging, technical processing, and organization of the collection; * Assist and guide educators, students, and other library users in their inquiries and information needs; * Collaborate with various departments of the institution to develop initiatives of interest to the educational community, proposing projects that integrate different curricular areas and promote reading practices; * Prepare bibliographic catalog cards for materials produced and published by the school; * Enhance the book lending process by promoting library collections and new acquisitions, encouraging the habit of reading; * Collaborate with academic coordinators in contacting authors, publishers, booksellers, and other professionals in the publishing industry; * Maintain an appropriate environment for reading and study, ensuring conservation of library materials and equipment; * Be responsible for the technical preparation of bibliographic and documentary materials in the library; **To qualify for this position, you must have:** * A completed undergraduate degree in Library Science; * Active registration with the Regional Council of Library Science (CRB); * Prior experience in library work; * Cataloging techniques (MARC21 and AACR2); * Microsoft Office Suite; * Technical standards for scientific works (ABNT); * Knowledge of specialized library systems, preferably Pergamum (a plus).
