Main responsibilities of the Fleet Manager: * Plans and coordinates transportation and logistics operations, managing teams, resources, deadlines, and results in accordance with quality, safety, environmental, and legal standards. * Responsible for driver recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding; planning and monitoring loading/unloading operations; vehicle allocation; and route optimization—aiming for operational efficiency and cost reduction. * Maintains vehicle and driver documentation, monitors fleet via tracking systems, and controls driver working hours (driving time, breaks, rest periods, and days off), ensuring compliance with labor legislation and road safety regulations. * Engages in negotiations with carriers and suppliers, approves budgets and payments (maintenance, fuel, tolls, and other expenses), and manages strategic partnerships. * Coordinates operational leaders and units, monitors performance indicators (KPIs), and participates in the department’s strategic planning, supporting data-driven decisions to improve logistical and financial outcomes. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Familiarity with Gerensat, TrucksControl, CA2 Track, Sênior, and GT24 (Journey) systems * Experience managing fleets exceeding 100 trucks.
