Job Description – Purchasing Manager Position: Purchasing Manager Department: Procurement / Purchasing Position Objective \- Plan, coordinate, and manage all procurement-related activities to ensure adequate company supply, focusing on cost reduction, quality, delivery timelines, and strategic supplier negotiation. \- Key responsibilities: Plan and supervise procurement processes for materials, supplies, products, and services. \- Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, delivery terms, quality, and payment conditions. \- Develop, evaluate, and qualify suppliers. \- Monitor departmental performance indicators (costs, delivery timelines, quality, and contracts). \- Prepare and control the procurement department’s budget. \- Ensure compliance with internal company policies and procedures. \- Strategically analyze the market to identify cost-reduction opportunities. \- Collaborate closely with Finance, Inventory, Production, and Administration departments. \- Manage the procurement team, if applicable, providing guidance and performance oversight. \- Ensure timely deliveries and prevent inventory stockouts. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Commercial Management, or related fields is preferred. Proven experience in procurement. Knowledge of negotiation, contracts, and supplier management. Proficiency in ERP systems and performance indicator tracking.
