We are looking for a dedicated and Portuguese-language-passionate professional to join our team and ensure editorial excellence in our books. **Job Description:** We are seeking a Text Editor to collaborate with us in meticulously editing our publications, ensuring accuracy, coherence, and fluency of texts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and correcting grammatical, orthographic, and stylistic errors, ensuring our books reach the public at the highest quality standard. **Responsibilities:** * Perform orthographic, grammatical, and stylistic editing of editorial texts, including books, articles, and promotional materials. * Ensure consistency in applying Portuguese grammar and style guidelines. * Verify factual accuracy, references, and citations as needed. * Collaborate with authors, editors, and layout designers to ensure content integrity and quality. * Suggest improvements to clarity, coherence, and fluency of texts where appropriate. * Meet established editing deadlines and communicate effectively with the editorial team. **Requirements:** * Academic degree in Letters. * Proven experience in text editing, preferably in the publishing industry. * Excellent command of the Portuguese language, including grammar, orthography, and syntax. * Strong communication skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Passion for reading and commitment to editorial quality.
