Key responsibilities include direct patient assistance, performing technical procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team. **Responsibilities and duties** Carry out the Institution's nursing routines (shift handover, recording incidents, event notifications, etc.); Keep the Nursing Station organized for work activities; Receive, verify, administer, and return prescribed medications; Implement the Nursing Care Systematization – Nursing Prescriptions and Care Plans; Accurately document professional practice; Perform simple dressings and report to the nurse; Prepare patients for internal and external exams and treatments, as needed; Observe, recognize, and describe signs and symptoms within the scope of qualification, always reporting to the Nurse; Carry out specifically prescribed or routine treatments, as well as other nursing activities; Administer oral, intramuscular (IM), and topical medications, reporting any changes or incidents to the responsible Nurse; Administer nebulizations, enemas, and heat or cold applications as prescribed; Monitor patients and contacts of transmissible diseases under the supervision of a Nurse; Collect specimens (urine and feces) for laboratory tests using conventional methods; Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care; Perform cleaning and disinfection of materials; Check and record vital signs to monitor patients' health status, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and capillary glucose; Accurately document patient information, including vital signs, administered medications, procedures performed, and relevant observations regarding the patient's condition; Assist in mechanical restraint procedures; Conduct rounds according to the care plan; Practice active and empathetic listening; Manage and interact with patients experiencing psychological instability; Provide hygiene and comfort care to patients; Ensure patient safety and control of risky belongings (razors, dental floss, nail polish remover, nail polishes, etc.); Assist and encourage patients in performing daily living activities such as personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and elimination. Assist in positioning patients comfortably in bed and safely moving them when necessary; Perform turning of bedridden patients; Act under nurse supervision during clinical and psychological incidents; Assist and encourage organization of patients' belongings and rooms; Maintain cleanliness and order of materials, equipment, and healthcare unit facilities; Offer emotional support to patients by listening to their concerns and providing comfort as needed, seeking multidisciplinary team professionals and Nurses in emotionally challenging situations; Integrate into the healthcare team by reporting all data to the nurse responsible for the unit; Collaborate and interact with the entire multidisciplinary team; Continuously observe patients and report any changes to the responsible nurses. Participate in health activities according to medical and nursing prescriptions; Assist the Nurse in implementing Health Education programs; Perform routine tasks related to patient discharge; Participate in post-mortem procedures; Perform venous and oropharyngeal/nasopharyngeal secretion collection. Preparation and execution of Toxicology Tests, Covid-19 tests, and other non-invasive tests.
