Protection and Control Engineer

Description

Job Summary: A professional to configure, test, and commission IEDs and protection, control, and fault recording systems in substations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards. Key Highlights: 1. Configuration and commissioning of protection and control systems 2. Working with Siemens, SEL, and Hitachi IED technologies 3. Conducting field and laboratory tests * Configure protection, control, and fault recording IEDs; * Perform pre-tests and tests on panels and protection, control, and fault recording systems; * Conduct field tests on panels and protection, control, and fault recording systems; * Perform technical evaluations of projects, procedures, and test protocols; * Validate protection and control systems in an integrated manner within substation environments; * Ensure compliance with technical specifications and applicable standards; * Perform testing processes using test sets; * Update as-built documentation in project drawings and complete meeting minutes and test-related procedures; * Conduct technical meetings with clients and suppliers. Requirements: * Minimum 4 years of experience in testing and commissioning of protection, control, and supervision systems; * Required experience: Siemens, SEL, and Hitachi IEDs; * Commissioning of SPCS systems above 230 kV; * Commissioning of lines, transformers, busbar protection, and reactors; * Proficiency with Omicron, Vebko, and Doble test sets; * Preferred: Experience with Nari, GE, and Schneider IEDs; * Commissioning of distribution and generation systems; * Valid driver's license required; * Willingness to travel for field work; * Completed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation. VARIABLE COMPONENT: * Field-based variable component ranging from 0% to 40% of the fixed remuneration, based on hours spent performing external services. * BENEFITS: Lunch at company cafeteria when working at headquarters.
