Job Summary: A professional responsible for manufacturing, adjusting, and assembling tools, molds, and fixtures; performing preventive and corrective maintenance; and operating conventional and CNC machines. Diagnose defects and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on tools.  Operate conventional and CNC machine tools.  Read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing plans.  Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.  Suggest improvements to tools and production processes.  Guide junior toolmakers in technical activities.  Interpret technical drawings to operate machines;  Execute the manufacturing process for parts and components of tools and fixtures;  Perform maintenance on parts, tools, and fixtures;  Operate machine tools (Milling Machine, Surface Grinder, Planer, Saw, Lathe, Drill Press, CNC Lathe, and Machining Center), observing safety for oneself and others;  Perform fitting operations;  Ensure dimensional control of machined parts, as well as verification of operations performed according to heat treatment and/or surface finishing processes;  Perform final tool adjustments and supervise validation tests (try-out);  Perform thermal treatment procedures on metals intended for tool applications;  Use personal protective equipment and conduct activities safely for oneself and others;  Maintain the tool storage area organized, clean, and properly labeled;  Provide tools and fixtures to the production line, ensuring that assembled sets are reviewed and ready for production (preventive);  Perform maintenance on tools and fixtures to meet production requirements;  Enhance satisfaction of external and internal customers;  Remain focused on the needs and expectations of internal and external customers, department, and company;  Promote continuous improvement of processes involved;  Take preventive actions to avoid non-conformities;  Assist in the development of tooling, drawing, cutting, and stamping projects;  Assist, when necessary, in developing new equipment and fixture projects;  Assist in improving existing equipment and fixtures by identifying requirements for corrections or modifications to the design;  Seek innovation in product line projects;  Assist in designing tools, fixtures, machines, and maintenance parts according to the area supervisor;  Assist toolroom machine operators regarding optimal part manufacturing processes;  Support management in maintaining and achieving departmental performance indicators;  Ensure tools and fixtures comply with design specifications; in case of modifications for improvement, notify the responsible person to revise the design;  Occasionally operate/manipulate overhead cranes in accordance with occupational safety regulations, as trained under NR 11 Certification Training. Education Level: Completed High School, Toolmaking Course and/or Technical Course in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum Desired Experience: 2 to 5 years in the role.
