Job Summary: A professional to operate MIG/MAG/TIG and/or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) machines, perform finishing tasks, monitor welding materials, and assist in assembling components. Key Highlights: 1. Operate MIG/MAG/TIG and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) machines 2. Perform final finishing on welded parts 3. Monitor usage and consumption of welding materials Possess basic knowledge to occasionally assist with or operate machines, perform MIG/MAG/TIG and/or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) to produce components according to drawing specifications, production orders, and work instructions. Inspect and prepare components for welding, verify specifications and drawings, select the appropriate welding type to achieve standardized welds. Perform final finishing on welded components by filing, grinding, or sanding worked areas in accordance with drawings, production orders, and work instructions. Monitor usage/consumption of welding materials, specify and request required materials. Possess basic knowledge to occasionally assist with or operate low- to medium-complexity machines, tools, or equipment within the department to assemble components according to drawing specifications, production orders, and work instructions.
