Within this context, the work focuses on carbon compensation, which—per IPCC recommendations—aims to remove from the atmosphere the non-avoidable portion of residual emissions. The objective of this role is to build our network and expertise in this rapidly evolving field, where new technologies and business models are emerging. During this assignment, your key responsibilities will be as follows: 1\) Understand and deepen our knowledge of the South American carbon compensation ecosystem. 2\) Identify and analyze the offerings of startups active in the market. 3\) Develop Group business activities by identifying new business opportunities. 4\) Support the local team in monitoring and implementing the economic performance improvement plan for a biochar plant. This position resides within the Tech Research entity, responsible for Group innovation. This team comprises a wide diversity of profiles, skills, and backgrounds—a strength in an activity conducted internationally and addressing scientific, technological, societal, and economic issues. After an initial on-site integration period, you may perform part of your mission remotely. On-site and remote working time will be determined based on departmental and organizational needs, in agreement with your mentor.
