Assist the dentist in patient dental care, optimizing the execution of procedures and ensuring service quality, following work instructions established in the company's standard operating manual. **Responsibilities and duties** * Prepare the patient for treatment by verifying the procedure to be performed and preparing and organizing all necessary materials on the assistant's tray to support the dentist; * Guide the patient on oral hygiene care according to the company's standard operating manual; * Place orders, monitor delivery of appliances from the laboratory, and inspect appliances to ensure they are ready for the appointment day; * Promote conservation and maintenance of dental equipment; * Lubricate high-speed and low-speed handpieces according to manufacturer instructions; * Process radiographic films; * Assist and provide instruments to professionals during clinical interventions according to the company's standard operating manual; * Handle dental materials; * Select impression trays; * Prepare plaster models; * Apply biosafety measures for storage, transportation, handling, and disposal of dental products and waste; * Adopt biosafety measures aimed at infection control; * Perform cleaning, antisepsis, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments, dental equipment, and the workplace; * Collect and perform washing, disinfection, and sterilization of clinic materials and instruments according to the company's established standard operating procedures; * Package and label materials with expiration dates, then place them in the autoclave for sterilization; * Correctly use personal protective equipment according to the company's established standard procedures; * Perform weekly general cleaning of the sterilization room (wash and disinfect walls, floors, cabinets, and surfaces); * Conduct chemical and biological tests on the autoclave according to health surveillance requirements; * Observe technical usage requirements for equipment (autoclave, ultrasonic bath, and other equipment); * Check expiration dates of packaged materials and re-clean and re-sterilize materials whose validity has expired; * Assemble patient records for those beginning treatment according to the company's standard operating procedures; * Monitor clinical material inventory and request replenishment when necessary; * Select patient clinical charts according to the daily appointment schedule and file them after use; * Keep dental documentation and patient records organized, including files of patients who discontinued, canceled, or completed treatment; * Store clinical charts that have been reviewed by administrative staff; * Participate in technical and/or behavioral training provided by the company. **Requirements and qualifications** * High school diploma; * Dental Hygiene Technician course or Dental Assistant course is desirable; * Knowledge of dental materials, instruments, and procedures; * Customer service skills; * Intermediate computer skills.
