Production Leader

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:** Someone to join our leadership team, who will lead our production process during shift hours at the Maranguape unit. This person will be responsible for team management, organization and control of activities during the work shift, ensuring safety, quality, cost and productivity. They will lead, guide and train the team, ensuring compliance with production orders and technical specifications, as well as addressing issues related to machine setup and operation. They will conduct area routines and processes, propose and implement action plans to achieve company goals, monitor performance indicators and develop initiatives focused on continuous improvement, productivity and organizational climate. **Responsibilities and duties** **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** * Manage the work team, including selecting, guiding, training, monitoring performance, providing feedback, disseminating and enforcing procedures/rules related to the company, work processes and implemented management systems, as well as interacting with other human resource management matters. * Verify machine scheduling, ensuring production of planned volumes, identifying potential issues, requesting planning changes when necessary, maintaining constant communication with production planners, and guaranteeing product delivery according to the date agreed upon with the customer. * Conduct shift handovers, including management meetings with the team for DSS, announcements and operational support, managing shift performance indicators. * Monitor machine production speed and quality through performance indicators and guide the operational team when results are not aligned with plans. * Periodically inspect activities, perform quality standard checks (Strike Box) based on established standards, and execute corrections when necessary. * Monitor whether operations are correctly recording machine data for accurate maintenance control, machine stoppages and production costs, executing corrections when needed. * Ensure proper care of equipment and support machine maintenance services by inspecting and documenting identified defects, scheduling shutdowns, and requesting mechanical and electro-electronic labor. * Follow quality standards and procedures, analyzing test results of packaging physical tests with operators, completing and properly handling NCPRs (Non-Conformance Corrective Actions) opened by teams. * Follow safety rules and procedures and take responsibility for employee safety during their shift, guiding workers in task execution, conducting periodic workplace audits, and mitigating identified issues through action plans. * Perform other related tasks associated with their role and work process procedures as required. **Requirements and qualifications** **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:** * Completed High School; * Preferred: pursuing higher education; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; * Experience in the same or similar role within an industrial environment; * Availability to work shifts onsite at the Maranguape \- CE unit. **Additional information** **Smurfit Westrock**, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging conversion operations and 62 paper mills.
