





Participate, as a member of the company’s SESMT¹, in the development and implementation of occupational health and safety policies; contribute to diagnosing the organization’s OSH status; identify variables for controlling occupational diseases, incidents, quality of life, and environmental conditions; contribute to developing educational activities in occupational health and safety; participate in the adoption of technologies and work processes; investigate and analyze workplace incidents and recommend prevention and control measures—always aiming for “Zero Accidents”; execute, at the operational level, all activities related to the IMS², acting both preventively and corrective, identifying root causes, unsafe acts during local investigations, and unsafe working conditions—including general facilities, materials, methods, and operational processes. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Monitor and follow up on actions recommended in IMS action plans, ensuring implementation of proposed measures by respective departments, with the objective of correcting deficiencies or minimizing unsafe working and environmental conditions; * Support the preparation of training programs related to working and environmental conditions—such as use of personal protective equipment, first aid, fire-fighting, pollution control, among others—to raise awareness of targeted prevention measures; * Support the implementation of educational programs on incident prevention and health campaigns, promoting dissemination channels, distributing informative materials, and monitoring compliance with rules, conditions, or behaviors that could cause anomalies or incidents—thus raising employee awareness regarding Health, Environment, and Safety conditions; * Encourage and monitor the use of specialized protective devices—including appropriate clothing, goggles, masks, belts, and other PPE³ and collective protection equipment⁴—providing guidance on proper use, cleaning, and storage of such equipment, proposing improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure protection against incidents and other personal or property damage; * Conduct site visits across the company’s various operating units to assess potential hazards—including fire risks, product spills, unsafe acts, and other dangers—in order to provide recommendations that safeguard personnel’s physical integrity and occupational health, as well as preserve the environment; * Conduct workplace assessments, analyzing occupational characteristics and ambient conditions, to evaluate whether specialized external consultancy is required to issue reports on occupational hazard exposure (e.g., insalubrity or danger) affecting employees; * Recommend preventive requirements for Health, Environment, and Safety—especially within operational activities—by assessing risks, conditions, and protective measures, aiming to develop procedures that prevent or minimize adverse impacts on human life and the environment; * Investigate workplace incidents, evaluating their causes and consequences, actively participating in investigations alongside competent authorities, examining evidence, equipment or facility failures, and human error—with the objective of implementing preventive safety measures and complying with applicable legislation; * Record observed irregularities using appropriate forms, compiling incident statistics and specific indices to support continuous improvement of safety conditions; * Participate in drafting and reviewing various reports, risk mapping exercises, and other requirements related to safety, occupational health, and environmental protection—implementing action plans, providing recommendations or input, to ensure legal compliance and enhance workplace safety, health, and environmental conditions; * Participate in occupational safety meetings, supporting the CIPA⁵ process by advising on procedures, discussing topics, presenting suggestions, recommending training, and assisting in the election and inauguration of committee members; * Support SIPAT⁶ planning processes, executing and/or guiding CIPA on logistical arrangements—including venue setup, lecture organization, simulations, cost assessments, provision of promotional items, transportation, furniture rentals, safety equipment and materials, sponsorship coordination, event promotion, and staff mobilization—to ensure adherence to the established schedule; * Maintain internal communication to meet PPE needs, alert teams about unsafe acts, ensure procedural compliance, collect statistical data, and other tasks aimed at fulfilling IMS-related actions; * Act proactively during medical emergencies or workplace incidents—administering first aid, advising supervisors, or taking appropriate steps for evacuation and referral—seeking support from internal and external departments and notifying relevant official authorities to restore normal operations promptly;
